      North American Rescue Training and Education (NAR-T) presents the Hybrid Initial EMT Course, a flexible and comprehensive training program designed to help you begin or continue your career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This course combines the convenience of online learning with an intensive, hands-on In-Person Skills Week, ensuring that you acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Complete the program in as little as 90 days, with 195.5 hours of education covering skills labs, testing, and clinical rotations, all within one year.

      The EMT Flipped Classroom Model uses curated content from market-leading resources along with student-directed activities like problem-solving exercises and peer-to-peer coaching, delivering an engaging and effective learning experience.


      Course Objectives:

      Upon completing the Hybrid EMT course, you will be able to:

      • Fulfill the didactic requirements for NREMT Initial Certification.
      • Prepare for the NREMT EMT Basic Exam.
      • Upload the required documentation and verify your education and identity.
      • Complete online modules and schedule the in-person Skills Week and 12-hour ride-along.
      • Master the skills needed to pass the NREMT Psychomotor Exam and written exam.

      Course Structure:

      The Hybrid EMT Course is divided into online learning and an in-person skills training week.

      Online Learning:

      • Accessible 24/7 through the NAR Training LMS and NAR Training App.
      • Complete the modules at your own pace using desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
      • Features interactive lessons, study center, assessments, flashcards, and test prep tools.

      Flipped Classroom Model:

      Assessment:

      To graduate, you must maintain an 80% course average, pass both the midterm and final exams with at least 75%, and complete the hands-on skills training.

      • Practice hands-on skills crucial for EMS, including trauma care and patient assessments.
      • Prepare for the NREMT Psychomotor Exam, focusing on practical skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.
