      Answer: The PHTLS Provider Course is a hybrid format, combining both online learning (8 hours) and in-person hands-on training (8 hours):

      • Online Learning (8 Hours)

        • Completed through Jones & Bartlett Learning (purchased separately after registration).
        • Covers trauma assessment, XABCDE approach (eXsanguinating hemorrhage, Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, Expose/Environment), and interactive case scenarios.
        • Provides 8 CAPCE-approved continuing education hours.
      • In-Person Training (8 Hours)

        • Conducted at the NAR-T Advanced Training Facility in Las Vegas, NV.
        • Includes skills practice, scenario-based training, and critical trauma interventions like hemorrhage control, airway management, spinal immobilization, and rapid trauma assessments.

      Question: Will I receive a certification, and does this course count for continuing education?

      Answer: Yes, upon successful completion of the 16-hour PHTLS Provider Course, you will receive:

      PHTLS Provider Certification, valid for 4 years (recognized by NAEMT, NREMT, and EMS agencies nationwide).
      16 hours of CAPCE-approved continuing education credits (8 hours online + 8 hours in person).
      A certificate of completion and a wallet card, verifying your provider status.

      This course meets national EMS recertification requirements and can be applied toward EMT, AEMT, and paramedic license renewal.

      Answer: To successfully complete the PHTLS Provider Course, students must:
