Course Overview
The Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provider Course by North American Rescue Training & Education (NAR-T) is a 16-hour hybrid course designed for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and other prehospital providers who need to enhance their trauma management skills. This course provides evidence-based trauma training, equipping students with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to assess and manage critically injured patients in the prehospital setting.
This course follows the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) guidelines and integrates current trauma care best practices to help providers make fast, effective decisions in emergency situations. Upon successful completion, students receive:
- PHTLS Provider Certification (valid for 4 years).
- 16 hours of CAPCE credit for continuing education.
- A certificate of completion and wallet card recognizing their PHTLS provider status.
