      The Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Hybrid Provider Course is a 16-hour trauma training course for EMTs, AEMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and other prehospital healthcare providers.

      The course combines 8 hours of online PHTLS training with 8 hours of in-person hands-on training at the NAR-T Advanced Training Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

      Students learn to identify life threats, understand how trauma affects the body, perform critical interventions, and make treatment and transport decisions using a structured approach to trauma care.

      PHTLS Provider Course vs. PHTLS Refresher

      This is the full 16-hour Hybrid PHTLS Provider Course and is appropriate for students completing Initial PHTLS training or the full PHTLS Provider program.

      The separate PHTLS Refresher Course is intended for providers who have already completed the full PHTLS Provider Course and currently hold a valid PHTLS credential.
